Tiera Guinn '17--whose name is Latin for "earth"--majors in aeronautics and astronautics. At 22 years old, she is already a Rocket Structural Design and Analysis Engineer for the Space Launch System being built by Boeing for NASA. The MIT senior designs and analyzes parts of a rocket she believes will be one of the biggest and most powerful in history. Guinn is set to graduate from MIT with a 5.0 in 2017.
